The United States of America a nation at the forefront of waging wars in the name of spreading change and democracy but are the same the chief culprits in stifling the democratisation agenda of the United Nations, Even for Obama change is just a slogan can you believe Guantanamo Bay detention camp is still open 5 yrs into his two term presidency and I have not talked of the NSA`s spying activities it is a crazy world indeed.

Bensuda who was quick to open indictments on Kenya turns a blind eye on Israel violating human rights of Palestinians left, right and centre? Is Kenyan life more precious than that of Palestinians? You would expect America the champion of human rights and democracy to respect International law or at-least be a member of the ICC but no what is good for the goose is not good for the gander. Not so long ago America and its western allies wanted to bomb Syria because Syria was bombing Syria. Lives lost a nation divided and destroyed all in the name of change and democracy isn’t this just too much of a price to pay for democracy.

Is it not ironic that countries that have weapons of mass destruction themselves have the nerve to tell others nations that they cannot have nuclear weapons? By this I am not in any way promoting the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction I am simply posing this question so that you pose and reflect that the world we live in is neither free nor fair and more so there is more to this democracy than that meets the eye. For what reason should Iran not be allowed to enrich Uranium by themselves? Do they not have a right to do so under International law? You are told that Iran is a war monger and a rogue state, and you actually believe this dogma because it is put into your head everyday through the many international media outlets we are exposed to, that are so biased towards their home countries’ foreign policies.  This war monger called Iran has only fought in one war in self defence against Saddam Hussein in the past two hundred years and need I say more, the Americans were actually backing Iraq`s invasion of Iran. Our world big brother who comes in the name of peace and democracy has been involved in so many wars in the last century that I lost count. Isn’t it ironic that nations start wars to bring peace and many times than not it simply yields to unstable countries? Contrary to your opinion cde Tendai Biti (Zimbabwe`s former finance minister) I agree with Thabo Mbeki that stability and peace are more important goals than democracy, look at Syria, Iraq, Libya and Egypt.

Mugabe is on point on many occasions than not on the International political scene exposing the hypocrisy of the West. A change agent on the international scene but a change blocker at home. One would expect to find him on point on the domestic scene too but no he is only a democrat at various international platforms wishing that his and many other weak nation states be treated justly at the undemocratic United Nations. It really beats me how his position changes dramatically at the domestic level. He could have been a great statesman had he been a democrat but then he would have gone a long time ago. Many call him intelligent but I think his intelligence is limited at power retention and he is folly when it comes to the economy. Ibbo Mandaza correctly points out that he is illiterate when it comes to the economy albeit holding a bachelor of economics. Does this not make you think education is over rated when a lawyer and a Dr of chemistry understand economics much better than our Bob the economist that is Tendai Biti and Simba Makoni respectively?

Then comes the MDC whose change slogans are nothing more than just slogans. Maybe ours is a crises of expectancy we ask and expect too much or is it that our leaders are at fault for over promising. When Zanu PF exposed Morgan Tsvangiryi`s numerous women escapades we were told at least he is better than most people from Zanu PF but people forget that we never hold Zanu PF as a standard, Zanu PF represents the things we shun and distaste.  I remember listening and believing this one Chamisa at some point, criticising the government for buying luxury vehicles for Ministers but when the unity government was formed I expected the MDC to live by their word but they proved that their word is a useless currency. At-least in this regard there is one David Coltard who seemed to understand what exactly the country needed. It is no surprising that he was one of the best Ministers of the few performing Ministers of the Unity Government. In all honesty I think he is only comparable to Tendai Biti who was quite up to the surmountable challenges we faced or should I say we are facing. Now I know corruption, self-aggrandizement cuts through our politics, I must be forgiven a couple of years back I thought Morgan Tsvangiryi was my reincarnated Thomas Sankara but no, he too has an appetite for finer things in life even at the expense of ordinary people failing to make ends meet otherwise how could the Prime minister accept $3 million dollars for the re-construction of his place of residence. Can someone comprehend how many teachers and civil servants could have been paid or how many low cost housing units could have been constructed by such a lump sum.. .

People demand change not a change in faces which is why I lost all the love I had for Barack. And the sooner the change agents in Zimbabwe realise this the better.
